USA visa news
The US State Department has classified Russians as “homeless nationalities”. Such a term is applied to Russian citizens in a document describing the procedure for obtaining visas. It explains that the category “homeless” refers to visa applicants from countries where there is no US consular office or where the political situation is considered unstable. In addition to Russian citizens, the list of “homeless nationalities” includes residents of Cuba, Eritrea, Iran, Libya, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen. Russians are advised to apply for US immigrant visas at the US Embassy in Warsaw, Poland.
