Work in Madeira for girls
Want to visit the island of eternal spring, taste its most popular wine, Madeira, and immerse yourself in a gourmet paradise where fresh fish and seafood are literally at every turn, all while earning a decent amount of money? Welcome to Madeira.
Madeira isn’t just about beautiful views and the ocean. It’s also a real money-making opportunity for women, especially in tourism, hospitality, and nightclubs. It’s a busy season almost year-round, attracting tourists from all over Europe, and, most importantly, the money is good.
Why does Madeira attract girls to work?
First, the climate. It’s not for nothing that the island is called “eternal spring.” There’s no sweltering heat and no cold winters. Second, tourism. People come to relax, which means they spend money.
Madeira is popular among the British, Germans, French, and Spanish. Many speak English, so even with a basic level of the language, you can find interesting work.
The plus is the atmosphere. The ocean, palm trees, evening walks, beautiful sunsets. After your shift, you can truly feel like you’re on vacation.
What jobs are available for girls in Madeira?
The most in-demand job is working in nightclubs. Through Prestige Model Agency, women travel to clubs in Lisbon, Porto, Cascais, and Madeira to fill openings.
One of the hottest openings is for a dancer. The island’s best club is hiring girls with the following requirements:
-
- age 18–35 years;
-
- slim build, height from 165 cm;
-
- English is welcome (Spanish, Portuguese are also a plus);
-
- No experience required.
Conditions:
-
- contract from 1 month;
-
- rate 35€ per shift;
-
- 40% off drinks;
-
- 50% off private dances (prices from 100–200€);
-
- 100% tip;
-
- schedule 23:00–05:00;
-
- accommodation near the club (10€ per day);
-
- free airport transfer;
-
- drinks at the bar.
The work includes stage performances (2-3 per night), lap dancing, privates, and active consumption. There is no passive consumption—the girls approach guests directly. Important: guests are strictly monitored by security. Touching the girls is prohibited. This is a plus, which is very important for girls choosing work abroad.
Another alternative activity in Madeira is hostessing.
This is a job without dancing. However, the pay is lower due to competition with dancers. On average, it’s €1,200–€2,000 per month, sometimes up to $3,000. If you’re traveling, it’s more profitable to apply for a dancer position.
Other positions are also available for women without a diploma or higher education. This is not a problem at all. Portugal has a large market for applied labor. The following are in demand:
-
- nannies, nurses;
-
- cleaning of apartments and offices;
-
- waiters and bartenders;
-
- manicurists and beauty professionals;
-
- delivery (Uber, Glovo);
-
- seasonal work.
The average salary in the service sector is €800–€1,100 net. In IT and digital, it’s €1,500 and up. But those require skills.
How much can you earn in Madeira?
If you choose a job as a dancer, with a lot of passion and some basic dancing skills, you can earn between €3,000 and €6,000 per month. A fixed salary of €35 is just the base. The bulk of your income comes from:
-
- drinks (40%);
-
- dancing (50%);
-
- tips (100%).
In clubs, champagne prices range from €150 to €1,750. One glass can bring in €25 in profit. Experienced girls can earn €75–€100 per session from private dances. Payouts are daily (minus €10 for accommodation). Girls receive commission on drinks and dances once a week.
What documents are needed for work?
For Moldova and Ukraine, a biometric passport (90 days visa-free) is required. For Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, a Schengen tourist visa for any EU country is required. EU citizens do not need a visa.
Insurance is required. Tickets are usually purchased separately. Airport transfers are provided by the club.
The girls sign contracts, which is also a big plus. A contract gives you a sense of protection, and it really is. The club pays consistently, and no one cheats anyone.
Is it possible to leave without experience?
Yes. Many clubs hire people without experience. The main thing:
-
- be pretty and well-groomed;
-
- have a minimum of plastic, if you choose dancing;
-
- desire to work.
Knowing a language is a plus for earning more than others. At least basic English is a must.
Safety and risks
Working abroad is stressful. A new language, a new country, different regulations like work permits. If you don’t speak the language, your job options are limited. Entry-level positions rarely pay more than €1,000 outside of the club industry.
There’s a risk of unofficial work in casual positions—without a contract or social security. Clubs strictly enforce safety, but there are fines for exchanging contacts and meeting outside the establishment.
How to increase your chances of getting a high-paying job?
-
- Learn a language – at least 15–30 minutes a day.
-
- Be active in consumption.
-
- Be able to sell emotions, not just dance.
-
- Take care of your appearance.
-
- Work through trusted agencies.
-
- Don’t be afraid to try yourself in a new direction.
